Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show at Baltimore Convention Center is my go-to event each January (sadly without competition). Last year it seemed likely to return, post-Covid, but then omicron came along and forced many of us out of attendance and in mourning mode at home sulking about not going.
But this week was different – one of our most successful shows yet! And that includes garden writer events like those hosted at Lord Baltimore Hotel where Marianne Willburn, Scott Beuerlein and myself were partying alongside podcaster Leslie Harris who is on the right.
On the left are Leslie’s friends Sarah Schrock and Abbie Shelhamer from Abigail Gardens – inspiring me to pay Charlottesville a visit this year! (Check out their stunning website!)
Attractive Displays at Trade Show Floors
Below are my favorite exhibits at the convention center floor; examples of excellent merchandise in an otherwise dull sea of offerings. Trade shows are not generally my cup of tea as a gardener myself; nonetheless some vendors make an effort and it is appreciated.
Colmet’s display is absolutely mesmerizing! They specialize in steel landscape edging and have found an eye-catching way to show it off!
